Johnston County Firefighter, Chris Daniels, died on August 17 while on duty with Pine Level Fire Department. Daniels was a career firefighter with Smithfield FD, and a part-time firefighter at Pine Level, Selma, and Thanksgiving Fire Departments. Our prayers are with his family and fellow firefighters.

Funeral services for Alan Hicks of the North Carolina Air National Guard and the Badin Fire Department are Friday July 31 at 2:00 PM at The Refuge Church, 230 Refuge Way, Kannapolis, NC Visitation will be conducted from 12-2 at the church prior to the funeral service.
