PAMLICO COUNTY - The Continuing Education Fire Service Coordinator for Pamlico Community College died this afternoon in a training related incident. Rufus Brinson, Jr., was reportedly participating in training exercises and collapsed at a hydrant. Brinson is the past chief of the Reelsboro Fire Department (Pamlico Station 9).
