Lennie Jackson Terry, 64, of 337 Tatum Road died Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was born in Person County to the late Charlie and Alma Rogers Terry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Terry and Lambert Terry; and one sister, Nancy Gravitte. Mr. Terry worked for Dill Air Controls for 38 years. He was a founding member of Triple Springs Volunteer Fire Department and was currently serving as Assistant Chief. Lennie was known for loving his community, friends, and most importantly his family. He would give you the shirt off his back with a smile.

Surviving are his wife, Tanya Terry, of the home; four children, Jason Terry (Amanda), Nicole Holder, Chasity Terry (Scott Neathery), and Savanah Terry, all of Roxboro; one brother, Zeb Terry (Becky), of Cedar Bluff, MS; four sisters, Libby Odell, Linda Davis (Roy), Martha Long, all of Hurdle Mills, and Ann Dickerson, of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, AubreyAnn Carr, Lori Harris, Gabriel Neathery, and Avaree Terry; and his mother-in-law, Barbara Humphries.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM-12:00 PM prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be the members of Triple Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Triple Springs Volunteer Fire Department, 185 Olive Branch Road, Roxboro, NC 27574.
