Needs
The families greatest need right now is gift cards. Gas cards, restaurant cards, or WalMart/Kmart, or Visa/MasterCard gift cards. Monetary donations are also appreciated.

As most know, Brad McCoy, 36, of Nantahala was killed in the line of duty while attempting to rescue his family members when his own home caught fire last Thursday night. Brad’s 9 year old daughter, Daphne, was immediately flow to Augusta Burn Center with 80% of her body burnt. She is currently still in the burn unit and will be for some time to come. Brad’s wife, Amanda, was admitted to Augusta later Friday during the day, but has been since released following treatment for minor burns. Brad’s 7 year old son, Cole, thankfully escaped without physical injury.

The family did not have homeowners insurance and does not have health insurance, as they immigrated from Europe and the system there called “ myehic” is vastly different. Any form of donation is more than greatly appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Saturday, November 29, 10am at Nantahala School. Visitation with funeral to follow at the school. Address for the school is 213 Windingstairs Road Topton, NC.

Burial will be held at the Briartown Baptist Church. Address is 611 Briartown Church Road Topton, NC.

Please, we are requesting that people carpool if they can. We are also requesting that no large apparatus be brought due to extremely limited parking. Chiefs vehicles or small vehicles are welcome.
