 The Union Cross Fire Department and the High Point Fire Department are with heavy hearts today as we mourn the loss of a well distinguished member. Deputy Chief with the Union Cross Fire Department and Fire Equipment Operator with the High Point Fire Department, Chad Eric Greene passed away unexpectedly on the 4th November 2009. 

 Chad was a caring husband, loving father of 2 children, a well respected son and a supportive brother to his family. He was an outstanding firefighter with both agencies distinguishing him as a valuable asset. Both the Union Cross Fire Department and the High Point Fire Department are acknowledging this a Line of Duty Death due to Chad having responded to an emergency incident while working with the Union Cross Fire Department at approximately 7 AM on the date of his death.
 
 Funeral Arrangements are as follows:
Visitation will be held Saturday the 7th of November 2009 at Green St. Baptist Church, 303 N. Rotary Dr. in High Point NC 27262.
Celebration of Life Service will also be held at Green St. Baptist Church at 2 o’clock on Sunday the 8th of November 2009.

Gravesite Rites will be held at the Union Cross Moravian Church located at 4295 High Point Rd, Winston Salem NC 27107 immediately after the Celebration of Life Service.
