Suffered a heart attack at the scene of a house fire on Old US 421. He arrived after the fire was under control and was subsequently stricken. He was treated at the scene and transported to Forsyth Memorial Hospital, where he passed away. Neal was a volunteer member as well as an employee of Western Electric Company in Winston-Salem.
