Forbush Fire Department death

Chief Ricky W. Doub, age 61, of the Forbush Fire Department in Yadkin County died at his home on Tuesday afternoon after responding to two fire calls earlier in the day. When his wife came home from work she found him deceased.

Ricky Wooten Doub, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 16, 2014. He was born February 2, 1953 in Yadkin County. Ricky was the owner and operator of William Doub and Son Excavating. He was a member of the Forbush Fire Department for 29 years and was the fire chief for the last 8 years. He was preceded in death by his father, William Allen Doub. Surviving are his wife, Judy Groce Doub; mother, Gaynell Wooten Doub; brothers, Larry (LuRae) Doub, Kent (Beth) Doub; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Baltimore United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kelli Giese. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
