A volunteer firefighter, Steven Brad McCoy, with Nantahala Fire Dept, Macon County Station 32, died in a fire at his home this morning. His 8 year old daughter, who he rescued from the fire, has been flown to a burn unit. After rescuing daughter, he reportedly went back into house to find son not realizing his wife had rescued their son. He never made it back out of house. His wife has also been admitted to hospital.
