You lost a great fire cheif and more than likely the best firend anyone could ever ask for. i am the daughter of josph l. bilka who passed away on may 21,2006 responding to a call. I want to say to those who lost a loved one one I still feel your pain. To those who new my father and included me when his widow and stepsons tried to leave me out I Thank You and also Thank You to the N.C.F.F.F for keeping my father and all firefighters alive in our hearts.

I am a member of the Randolph County Honor Guard. This was my second year coming to the Memorial..This year we had a member of our department (Coleridge-Erect) added to the memorial..I would like to say thank you to the men and women that started this memorial... This just lets people know that these men and women will not be forgotten...They lost their lives to keep others safe from harm...God Bless All Fire Fighters.....
